Core Issue
After ViewMail for Outlook (VMO) is installed, the WAV file opens as a Cisco small player and not as Windows Media Player. In the Microsoft Outlook client, voice mail messages appear with the wrong icon. The VMO plugin appears installed in the Add/Remove Programs window. Also, under Tools > Options, it appears as listed in the list of plugins and is checked.
IF It does not resolve this issue, install or reinstall the plugins with Antivirus disabled.
Resolution
When the VMO software is reinstalled a second time, VMO can appear as an installed application in the Control Panel > Add Remove Programs window, but VMO does not appear as an option on the Outlook Tools and Help menus. The user is not able to use VMO until this problem is resolved.
In order to resolve this issue, complete the steps in Cisco Unity VMO is Installed, but not Published in Outlook and make sure the VMO is not listed in Help > About Outlook > Disabled Plugins.
Also, refer to Cisco Unity Troubleshooting Guide for more information about the Media Master Control Bar issues.
