Hello,

I am currently developing an application which requires to make a call from the Cisco Cius.

I have created a new Icc Device and tried to initialize the telephony service.
I then created a new ICall object and called the createCall method from the device.
I later originated the call from the object.

I was not successful in doing this .
Could you please help in how to make a call from the application ?

Thanks !

A few questions.  What version of CUCM are you running and what version of Cius Firmware do you have?

I assume you can make calls by hand and that the normal Android Telephony APIs work for making calls.

If so, can you provide any addition details about the failure case?

Hello,

I don't have the device, so I am using the Cius emulator right now .

I need to use functions like barge and call transfer later, so I am not using the android telephony api's.

Could you please tell where I failed in trying to make a call in my process.

Thanks !

It is not possible to make a call without an actual Cius.  We have some tools that allow you to simulate basic calls but for complex features like Barge you will need an actual device and an actual Cisco Unified Communications Manager.  I would suggest you look into the Cius loaner program.
