We will be developing a gadget that requires a maximum amount of real-estate in certain situations. The Gadget API spec supports a "CANVAS" view, which is described as "A view where the gadget is displayed in a very large mode." See https://developers.google.com/gadgets/docs/reference/#gadgets.views.ViewType. The Gadget API spec provides a View method called "requestNavigateTo" which allows navigation between view presentations. See https://developers.google.com/gadgets/docs/reference/#gadgets.views.

Does WebEx Social support calls to gadgets.views.View.requestNavigateTo to navigate to a CANVAS view to maximize a gadget's available real-estate?

WebEx Social supports OpenSocial gadgets which is based on the Google Gadgets framework. OpenSocial provides canvas view and requestNavigateTo methods which you can use in your WxS gadget. We currently do not have any sample gadgets available that use the canvas and requestnavigateto methods, however, if you run into any trouble, just post your question here.
