Core Issue

The T.37 store and forward fax feature has been configured on Cisco Voice Gateway 2621. When the user forwards the fax as an e-mail to the Exchange 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), there are no issues.

However, when the user receives a fax message with multiple pages, only the first page is attached to the e-mail. All of the pages should be attached in a single e-mail.

Resolution

All the pages of the fax message can be received in a single e-mail with a single Tagged Image File (TIF) attachment. The problem is not with the T.37 fax feature; it could be with the image viewer. By design, this cannot display all the pages together by scrolling up or down. Some of the image viewers, such as Microsoft Photo Editor and ACDSee, do not show all the pages together, even though they contain all the pages. In these cases, select the Next Page option.

In the Windows Imaging software, all the pages are visible with the thumbnail view. Using a proper image viewer displays all the pages of the TIF attachment together.
