Core Issue

The DCOM got error and General access denied error DCOM errors that appear on Cisco CallManager can occur due to replication issues or due to SQL changes.

Resolution

In order to fix the problem, complete these steps:

  1. Backup your current directory information with either the MCS backup utility or with this command from a DOS command prompt:

    dcbckdib /y backup C:\dcdsrvr\backup

The C:\dcdsrvr\backup folder must exist before this command is run.

  2. Run avvid_migrate_save .

  3. Stop the DCDirectory service. In order to do this, type net stop dcdirectory from a command prompt.

  4. Run deletedib.

  5. Run avvid_migrate_cfg .

  6. Run avvid_migrate_restore         .

  7. Run reconfig_cluster . This command establishes replication agreements to all Cisco CallManager subscribers.

There is no need to perform any tasks on any of the subscribers.
