Resolution
For a successfull upgrade of the Cisco CallManager version, complete these steps:
- Before you perform an upgrade to a Cisco Unified CallManager version, download and run the latest version of Cisco Unified CallManager Upgrade Utility, a nonintrusive tool that detects the health of the servers in the Cisco Unified CallManager cluster without the change of the state of the system. Refer to Using Cisco Unified CallManager Upgrade Utility 4.2(3) for more information.
Note: Cisco strongly recommends that you perform these tasks prior the Upgrade Utility.
- Make sure to verify that the server meets the minimum requirement for the Cisco Unified CallManager version to which you upgrade. Refer to Cisco Unified CallManager Compatibility Matrix for more information.
- Also verify that you disable the CSA service whenever you want to perform a task that requires the server to be restarted, such as installation, upgrades, or uninstallation of software. If you disable the CSA service, you must reenable it before it starts to monitor the Cisco CallManager server again.
Refer to the Disabling and Reenabling the Cisco Security Agent Service section of Installing Cisco Security Agent for Unified CallManager for more information.
Refer to Upgrading Your Cisco CallManager Server (When You Are Not Replacing Hardware) for more information on issues related to the upgrade.
