Verify

Use this section in order to confirm that your configuration works properly.

  • Codec - TC7.3.0
  • Speaker Track- MT7.3.0
  • Precision60- HC7.3.0

  1. Make sure the codec, Speaker Track, and camera use the same software version (numbers) suffix.
  2. Check the camera status and verify that the camera Serial number and Firmware are correctly detected.

Troubleshoot

This section provides information you can use in order to troubleshoot your configuration.

Verify the Speaker Track status in order to make sure the cabling is set correctly.

xstatus // speakerTrack

*s Cameras SpeakerTrack Availability: Available
*s Cameras SpeakerTrack LeftCamera VideoInputConnector: 1
*s Cameras SpeakerTrack RightCamera VideoInputConnector: 2
*s Cameras SpeakerTrack Status: Active

Here is a brief description of the previous output:

*s Cameras SpeakerTrack Availability can have one of these states:

  • Off
  • Unavailable
  • Available

Each of the states have a different meaning:

  • *s Cameras SpeakerTrack Availability: Off - this means that the Speaker Track option is turned off from the configuration.
  • *s Cameras SpeakerTrack Status: Unavailable - this means that the Control (Speaker Track/Camera) has an issue.
  • *s Cameras SpeakerTrack Availability: Available - this means that the control cabling is set correctly.

*s Cameras SpeakerTrack LeftCamera VideoInputConnector: 1
*s Cameras SpeakerTrack RightCamera VideoInputConnector: 2

This status depicts the HDMI connection of the camera to the codec. The previous status is the expected output if the connection is correct .

If the HDMI cable from the Left camera is unplugged, the status changes to:

*s Cameras SpeakerTrack LeftCamera VideoInputConnector: 0
*s Cameras SpeakerTrack RightCamera VideoInputConnector: 2

If the HDMI cable from the Right camera is unplugged, the status changes to:

*s Cameras SpeakerTrack LeftCamera VideoInputConnector: 1
*s Cameras SpeakerTrack RightCamera VideoInputConnector: 0

This might cause the Speaker Track to not function.

*s Cameras SpeakerTrack Status: Inactive

The user has selected Manual Tracking and Auto Tracking has been disabled from the Touch Panel. This can be enabled with the xCommand Cameras SpeakerTrack Activate command.

Diagnostics

In order to verify the functionality of the face detection mechanism, enter this command to start the Active speaker and face detection:

xCommand Experimental SpeakerTrack Diagnostics Start Tracking: On

Hi,

Do you still require the document, because this information is available on admin guide, please let me know if you require more detailed information for the same.

Hi Vivek,

Excellent his explanation, but still do not understand how physically install the Speaker Track fits on top of the display or to be fixed on the wall?

Tks

Hi Carlos,

Thanks, you can refer following document for the physical installation.

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/camera/precisionhd/installation_guide/speakertrack-60-installation-guide.pdf

Hi Vivek,

Thanks,

But i have other question.I can leave this Speaker Tracker on a table, because the manual only mentions the installation on a wall. I can leave it as is shown in the video, on a flat surface?

Tks,

Carlos

Hey Carlos,

It's fine you can put in flat table and it will work fine, you can deploy or install speaker track as per your need.

Thanks,

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

[+5]

We have got Cisco SX80 Codec with one Precision 60 camera and Touch Panel connected to SX.

Is there any way we can assign IP address to Camera and Touch Panel?

Hi Aman,

I wanted to confirm is there any specific reason why you want to assign IP address as codec provide IP address directly to this device from 169.x.x.x

Thanks,

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

thanks for reply.

this was the query asked by the customer .The way we can get GUI to SX80 so, the same should be working for Touch and Camera when LAN cable is connected.

So, we wanted to assign static IP to Camera and Touch.

Hello. Thanks for this. We've installed an SX80 with speaker track some time back and noticed one of the cameras showing as disconnected from the codec. The installer (site is remote) went out and rebooted (hard reset) the codec since all the cabling looked ok and the cameras were back on line.

The problem now is that during a call that lasts longer than 30 minutes, the cameras on the SX80 got to sleep and revert to the off position - this is assuming nobody from that site speaks or has the mic on mute. This did not occur before. Any ideas on how to fix this to make sure the cameras always stay "on" during a call?

Thanks.
