UCCX licensing is tied to the major version so your existing license will be fine with version 11.6(2)

For all versions within 11.x series, you do not need an upgrade license.  I upgraded from 10.6 to 11.6.2 and i had to request for an upgrade license.

This is true that only when you go to a new major release from 10.x to 11.x or 11.x to 12.x, then a new license is required.

This is true for all the UC applications, as far as I know. I used to test upgrades at Cisco. Licensing keeps getting redesigned. Now that they are moving to a cloud licensing, maybe it will be easier.
