Clarity HA40 amplifier compatible WITH Cisco Landline phone #CP7841PCC

Can you use a Clarity HA40 phone amplifier  with a Cisco CP78413PCC landline business phone for someone that is hearing impaired 

in order to hear clearly on the phone?

Technically, it should work since it’s a device inserted between the headset and phone. However, I’m not sure if increasing the volume might cause problems for the headphone speakers.
