Admin roles required for WxCC API access

My customer is developing some reports and dashboards for their Webex CC deployment. I walked them through the CC API docs on developer.w.c, and IT department is preparing to set up the devs with admin access in Control Hub per the API docs to start setting up their integration. I did not find a clear definition of the admin role in CH necessary to enable API access. Is a read-only admin account sufficient? Or do we need another specific role? They definitely want near real-time data on their Queues and Agent state and activity, for example. And is the admin user in Control Hub Proper, or in the Webex Contact Center Administration portal?

Hi @jbourne it is mentioned in the guides. For reporting access - i.e Analyzer read - an admin license is sufficient.

The Webex contact center admin checkbox is provided along with either the Service Specific Administrator setting OR the Control Hub Admin setting.

Minimum requirement can be satisfied by configuring the Control Hub user with Contact Center Service Specific Administrator (see the administrator options on control hub).

Next, ensure that the admin checkbox on the user level (when you go to licenses) is checked.

Here is the link to the FAQ: https://developer.webex-cx.com/faq

The team has also taken an action to make those Scopes more explicit and mention the exact scopes required to call the reporting APIs.

Thanks & Regards,

Arunabh.
