CTIOS Login problem (ICM 7.0)

Dear Sir/Madam

We are currently installing IPCC Enterprise 7.0 at our premises and having a problem when running CTIOS on a Windows XP SP2 PC. If the user is not part of the local administrative group of the PC, the user cannot login to the CTIOS GUI (the login button is greyed out). What is the solution if we do not want the user to a be a administrator of its PC?

The user definitely needs rights to the local registry setting because CTIOS saves the last login and server info to the registry. There is no way to circumvent this. So, you dot specifically have to make them admins. But they need to be powerusers with read/write privileges for the following key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems\

Specfically CTIOS and CTI Desktop subkeys.

Hope that helps. Please rate posts
