Abstract: Service providers are transitioning to segment routing (SR) and segment routing v6 (SRv6), which promise streamlining, simplification, and abstraction, but also come with configuration and migration complexities. This session explores how segment routing and Cisco Crosswork Automation innovations enable rapid provisioning of intent-based services, simplify operations with SR and SRv6, and enhance network health monitoring. Additionally, it addresses how Crosswork supports migration to segment routing, enhances segment routing functionalities, and operationalizes SR networks, leveraging tools such as NSO, Crosswork Workflow Manager, Golden Config Templates, and CNC.
