Change from static pinning to Port channel mode for FEX fabric uplinks

I have a FEX that is connected to the Parent NX5k switch using two fabric TenGig links. The situation is that all host ports are pinned to one of the fabric links. Task is to bundle both fabric links into a Port channel and connect the FEX to the Parent switch that way with as little disruptions as possible.

If I bundled one of the fabric links to the new Port channel (the fabric link not serving the host ports at the moment) and then stopped i would end up with Parent switch connecting to the FEX over Port channel and one static pinned fabric port ath the same time.

Question: Would it be acceptable topology from the perspective of the Parent switch?

At the second step I would bundle the remaining fabric port and complete the Port channel.

I don't think this would be possible but if someone had similar experience, please share with me.

Thanks!

George

Just to add the info - I had a MW and it turned out that fabric ports flapped for a short time after they were bundled to the Port channel.

So the conclusion is when migrating from static pinned ports to Port-channel ones interruptions are possible and must be considered.
