Connected Device reachable issue from nexus switch

Hello,

I have two nexus 7K with VPC configured, I am facing reach ability issue to devices directly connected to nexus switch.

Intermediately losing connectivity to connected device and connection establish after same time without intervention.

During unreachable period, nexus switch learning IP address of device in arp-table during Ping.But 100% packed loss.

Hi,

Is the directed device connected in vPC or on orphan ports?

When the problem is present, is ping not working from both N7K?

During this time, all connected devices are experiencing the ping unreachability? If yes, then sounds like a local CoPP (Control Plane Policing).

You can verify if there are drops in copp:

show policy-map interface control-plane | grep "class-map\|violated"

If only one device experience the problem, then might be an issue with the connected device.

Check copp of course and check to make sure you aren't using any configs like 'switchport block unicast' , and verify your spanning tree configuration and mac-address aging time vs arp timers.
