Error while adding a host in 1000v

I am getting the following error while adding a host into 1000v as shown below

(vim.fault.PlatformConfigFault)exception

I am running Vcentre, 1000v as well as esxi 5.1 in evaluation mode. The server is 1950 dell with standard netwrk card.

Can any one help?

It is a test environment.

That's a very generic error which could mean anything.

First are you using VUM? Can the VUM server communicate to the VSM?

Is your VSM connected to the vCenter server? What does "show svs connection" show?
