N9K set mtu to 9000 restart required

Hi all!

I would like to set mtu 9216 on port-channel interfaces and standalone interfaces on Nexus 93180.

int x/x

mtu 9216

end

Is a restart of the switch necessary to activate mtu 9000?

No need to restart the Nexus switch for interface or system MTU changes.

But if you have vPC enabled on the interface, be careful about these changes, as MTU is considered a type 1 inconsistency, which mean Nexus will bring down the vPC port-channel (on secondary vPC peer) if the value is not the same on both peers.
