Nexus 1010 HA

Hello,

I have two Nexus 1010 deployed in Active/Standby mode, uplink type 3. I have connect the port eth1 of each Nx1010 to upstream switch-1 port Gi0/1 and Gi0/2 and port eth3 to port gi0/5 and i see the next problem

"003507: Apr 25 14:44:07.258: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 0002.3d70.0101 in vlan 903 is flapping between port Gi0/1 and port Gi0/2"

This is the mac address of mgmt0 interface in both nexus 1010.

"Nx1010-1# show interface

mgmt0 is up

Hardware: Ethernet, address: 0002.3d70.0101 (bia 0002.3d70.0101)"

"Nx1010-2# show interface

mgmt0 is up

Hardware: Ethernet, address: 0002.3d70.0101 (bia 0002.3d70.0101)"

I think that the problem is a HA failure, in Nexus 1010 secondary i see next error

"Nx1010-2# 2011 Apr 25 07:42:41 Nx1010-2 %PLATFORM-2-MOD_DETECT: Module 1 detected (Serial number :unavailable) Module-Type Virtual Supervisor Module Model :unavailable

Can you help me?.

Hello,

The problem here looks like secondary Nexus1010 is not configured properly with ha role "secondary"

Mgmt address on secondary nexus1010 should end in 81. Is there any change write erase is performed on this to change the role.

If you are running SP1 release, then please reinstall secondary nexus1010 again. If you are on SP2, then do write erase and configure again.
