Hello all, i need some advise regarding an issue i experienced recently. above is a topology for my x4 5596T Nexus connected as per the diagram above and below are the VPC config and Port-channel config for the inter-connection.
today we experienced an issue where most servers which are connected to the 5K switches became unreachable, also internet connection which is connected via orphaned port on N5K-1 is also down. upon checking the 5K switches i noticed that Eth1/42 on N5K-1 is down, the status says Port is suspended. there are x4 FEX connected to N5K-1 & N5K-2 and FEX connections are online. attach is the logs for N5K-1 when the issue occurred. I can't seem to locate the cause of the issue. what i did to restore services is reboot N5K-1 switch. Could this be a hardware issue? it is the second time that this happened.
