Nexus C3232C code upgrade issue Pre-upgrade check failed. Return code 0x404F0003)

Hello, 

Having a hard time upgrading the code on this N3K-C3232C, i'd appreciate any advice on this. I am not sure if I am using the incorrect file or if there is a pre-upgrade step I am missing. below are the details from an upgrade attempt. 

switch# install all nxos bootflash:nxos.7.0.3.I7.6.bin
Installer will perform compatibility check first. Please wait.
uri is: /nxos.7.0.3.I7.6.bin
Installer is forced disruptive

"Failed to process nxos image".
Pre-upgrade check failed. Return code 0x404F0003 (SRG file not present/cannot be opened).

Can you check the MD5 value is same as the value mentioned in the software download page.

The file is ok, md5 value matches.

     I saw the same thing when I was trying upgrade from 7.0.3(IX1.2) to 7.0(3)I7(6).

     Upgrade to 7.0(3)I7(3) first, then upgrade to 7.0(3)I7(6).

give it a try.
