Hello, I have a cisco Nexus 7010 Chassis and want to install a 10 Gbps Ethernet XL Module (N7K-M132XP-12L). Module 5 & 6 has the N7K-SUP2. I would like to know the below please:
1) I assume the N7K-M132XP-12L module can go in any spare slot and there are no restrictions on which slots?
2) Is there a limit to the amount of N7K-M132XP-12L modules I can install in the chassis. I understand 8 slots are only free (as 2 slots are taken up with the N7K-SUP2) so the maximum would be 8 of these modules.
Looking forward to you help.
Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
There are no limitations, on how many N7K-M132XP-12L Line Cards can be installed; the Limitation is only the number of free slots available. Refer to the below hardware datasheet on the supported Hardware/Software for the module N7K-M132XP-12L
FYI. Module N7K-M132XP-12L is already passed the Last Date of Support for the hardware, below is the reference link.https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/nexus-7000-series-switches/eos-eol-notice-c51-736157.html

Hi Paul,
It should be straightforward, refer to the below documentation for the procedure.
*** Note Refer to the release notes for the NX-OS version that you are running for the Support of the N7K-M132XP-12L Line Card.
