Not able to ping the VM interface from Nexus 1000v

Hi ,

Iam not able to ping one of the VM from the nexus 1000v, but the vethernet is showing UP, also mapped to correct VLAN. I had tried to disable & enable the interface ( Shut & no Shut ), but after doing also i was not able to ping the VM. In the Vcenter  everything is found OK, but once i migrate this VM to the other ESX host then i am able to ping the VM.This happens for the fourth time in the network on different VMs.

can any one help me on this ?

Balaji,

1. What verison of 1000v are you running

2. What build of vSphere is the host(s).

3. Identify the veth # and VM "name".

Can you paste the following (or capture to a text file and attach to this thread):

-From the VSM - show run

-"                  "  - module vem x execute vemcmd show trunk (where x = VEM module #)

-"                   " - module vem x execute vemcmd show vlan

-"                   " - module vem x execute vemcmd show bd y (where x = VEM module #, and y = VLAN of the VM)

-"                   " - module vem x execute vemcmd show dr y (where x = VEM module #, and y = VLAN of the VM)

**Do the above 4 commands for the "working" and "non working" VEM host while the VM is running on it
