OTV traceroute

Hi guys,

We have OTV implemented between 2 sites by N7Ks. Configuration: default vrf - eigrp routing,  link between 2 sites configured "otv_map" vrf - ospf routing. In site X we have: extended vlan A, not extended vlan B and server VM1. In site Y we have VM2 and same vlan A. I cannot "traceroute VM2 source vlan B", result is ***...

But can traceroute VM1 source vlan B

As long as you have stretched the VLANs across 2 Sites, you should be able to ping each other.

If you using vrf, use VRF name as source to ping.

it would also good to see the configuration and your test results.

Hi Balaji,
Yes I can ping. But I need traceroute from this VLAN B. This VLAN of storage, and I'm trying to mount disk to VM2 by tcp protocol.

if possible network topo, how your lun mounted and where ?
