I am running into A LOT of problems! I recently bought the Cisco 8481 Ip phone and i've been trying to set it up. It gets stuck on "Phone is registering" never moves from there. I have no access to the CUCM, so I opened up sandbox, but turns out you cannot connect to your actual hardware. ALL i need is to just display a piece of text on the phones screen and I can't get it to do that!!! Can someone help please?

you need to put option 150 with the IP address of your call manager, and provision the phone, using its mac address in CUCM.
is your phone receiving an IP address at all?
