AMP license requirements for IronPort email.

Hello everyone

I know that minimum requirements needed to install the license of AMP in ESA appliance.

I would like to know :

Model ESA

Version AsyncOS

RAM

No minimum model needed, other than it has to support the 8.5 or newer of AsyncOS

AMP was first introduced around version 8.5 or 8.5.5... (you want 9.6 anyway...)

RAM is whatever the model comes with/requires... again, not AMP specific.

Hey Ricardo,

The requirements for AMP as Ken pointed out is;

Version 8.5+ for the minimum AMP usage.

Please note, the AMP engine in version 8.5+ has limited file type checking as opposed to version 9.6+ AMP engine.

To get the AMP service you will need to purchase:
File Analysis and File Reputation feature keys for your device.

Version 8.5.6 is upgradable on C170 devices. and X80 platform

C370-C670 requires 8GB of Ram else you will not be able to upgrade to 8.5.6 + releases

Version 9.6 is not available on the x60 platform hardware due to limitations, but available on x70 and x80 platforms
