Are feature keys transferrable in multiple ESA VMs

Dear concern,

We have deployed a ESA VM (300v) and installed license (features keys) and it's working fine. If we want to build another VM and use same feature keys will it work?

Yes. You just load the same license file.

VMs are licensed based on user count, so you can build as many as you need, at whatever size you need.

The one thing to keep in mind, is that when your license expires, the VMs quit delivering mail.

Thanks Ken. Another question :

Existing ESA VM's OS is 13 and New VM's OS is 15.x.x. If we want to take backup from existing one and load same configuration backup to new VM(OS-15.x.x). Is there any dependency? As manual configuration of policy will be very hectic.

Both ESAs will be stand-alone not cluster. New VM just works as backup

You can try it, but they have to be the same version for the config to load smoothly.

Any reason you don't just upgrade the 13.x vm?
