Bounce Verification - Feature Key appear in Dormant status

Our customer informs us that the Feature Key - Bounce Verification appears in Dormant state in the relay Ironport C370.

What can this be due to?

That key is free. Just go configure a bounce profile, even if you don't use the feature.

Hmmm, it's just a matter of enabling it... I though it just needed a profile,

You may also have to create a key under Mail Policies/Bounce Verification.

You're in a cluster, right?

If I remember correctly, I had to configure it at the machine level on each box so that the license flipped, and then change it back to cluster configuration.
