The core files & utilities are associated to the actual engine.
The structural rules are all the rules/signatures that provide the anti-spam service on the ESA. The rules are updated by default each five minutes - and included in the updateconfig settings.
This is one option you have for scanning spam on the appliance. You have a choice of either Cisco Intelligent Multi-Scan, Cisco Anti-Spam engine, or Cloudmark. See the user guide for complete information.
