Hi I am working in a client that have a particular issue. They have a issue with their ESA that was working fine until a specific day, they dosen't change anything. The box work fine a couple of ours and the they lost all type of management and they cant revive or send mail but they can ping the ip address they are running on version 7.X. The log doesn't provide any error after the crash.

At this stage is the device still not reachable? even from the serial console port?
If the device is not reachable from any interfaces -- the last option is to hard boot it to attempt to get it to come up. If you are encountering further issues, i would suggest to contact Cisco TAC if you have a support license on this device.

Hi Mathew,
Thanks for the answer, The equipment doesn't respond management only ping. We dosen't have access to the console the equipment is in a collocation DC out of our area. We need to do a hard rest each time.

From your description it looks like there may be some underlying issues if this recurs constantly and requiring a hard boot, have you reached out to Cisco TAC to investigate via the tunnel?
