Disable system messages being delivered from the management IP

We have some dev Ironport devices that send system messages via the management interface.  This is normally not an issue, but in this case, we would like to stop this behavior.  Is there any way to redirect the Ironport system messages through a different interface?

by nature this was designed like this, not that i am aware you can change that to different interface.

Do we know if there is a way to take actions on these messages with outgoing content filters etc, or are these messages just immune from all of that by design?

Also, I'm noticing non-system messages going through the management interface as well.  I'm assuming I can control this behavior by simply directing all outbound email through an alternate interface via content filters.
