Hi,

Is there any consideration for hostname of ESA interface facing internet ( private IP then be natted on FW) ?!

Must match published MX record ? I saw in environment that it works normally even hostname does not match published MX record

Also if there consideration of publishing ESA through 2 ISPs ( one MX record per ISP) using SD-WAN feature on FW please share

Hello engahmedsaied,

The hostname of the IP on the ESA configured inside Interface configuration would not have any implications with the MX record.

For example you can put your ESA interface hostname as esa1.privateinterface -> points to your internal IP and mx record as mx1.domain.com -> points to your NAT IP.

For the second query, I'm not too well versed on the SD-WAN feature of the FW; so hopefully someone with exposure on SD-WAN can chime in.

Regards,
Mathew
