External Tag on plain text email

Hello experts,

We are successfully marking external emails with the [EXTERNAL] tag for emails unless the email is in plain text. 

Is anyone else having this issue?

What are you using to stamp your emails?

We are using a disclaimer. Under Mail Policies/Text Resources, create a new one, set the type to "Disclaimer Template"

It's got options for HTML and plain text.

Submit/commit.



Then create a new incoming content filter, that has the action of "Add Disclaimer Text", select where you want it (Above or below), and select the disclaimer you created.



It should work for both.

Depending on if you have a message filter or content filter set up, you would want to see how the tagging is getting applied. 

Have you checked message tracking to show how its being applied?

The last step in your message filter should be to copy a copy of your message to a quarantine.

Then you can sent yourself a copy of the final message for review.
