Ironport SMA upgrade from M100V to M300v

Hello to all,

Just a fast question.

We are planning to migrate the current SMA server for the management of Ironport equipment, from the current M100v to an M300v.
Would the license allow this model upgrade? Do you know if the configuration of a model would be compatible with the new one? Could it be exported and imported without problems?

Many thanks.

Regards.

Yes, you can just import the license xml file on the new box.
Migrate the data/config as normal...

Couple of things to note here  before you migrate:

make sure the version you moving to support your ironports/ ESA also same version

since you are upgrading to new kit, may not support some older version.

when you take backu and restore, make sure you backup not masked password.

you can not import some config old to higer version, you need to manually edit the confg to fit in to new version of kit.

or the kit you moving should support same version to import.
