Message stuck in "queue"

Doug Maxfield

Good Morning,

I have a message that appears to be "stuck" in queue.  I don't believe that the message is still actually in the queue according to the Message Tracking.  When I attempt to use "removemessage" or "bouncemessage", both show that the message doesn't exist.  But when I do an "oldmessage", this message still shows up.  It is over a week old and our "bounce" policy is 3 days.

How to I go about getting the "message" out of the queue?  I have tried rebooting but it's still there.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Doug

Hi Doug,

sounds like an inconsistent queue or the message is in either of the quarantines? For the inconsitent queue either email TAC and open a tunnel to have this fixed without mail loose, or suspend the appliance and wait until messages in the work queue are down to 0 and then run the resetqueue command. Read the warning carefully when you run resetqueue!

Best regards,

Enrico
