Need Advice - Cisco Email Security

Hello all, New sysadmin here who recently inherited email and security. We use O365 email and have three on-prem virtual IronPort appliances that are clustered and one Security Content Management appliance. Our uses are pretty standard - spam, malware quantine, TLS enforcement with specific domains, secured email communications, and DLP. I'm new to the world of Ironports, and I'd like to look into possibly moving to a managed cloud service. For people that are using it, is it simpler to administer than on-prem IronPorts? Thanks!

Its all depends on requirement, some people look hybird that is on prem and cloud, some go to cloud. so depends on requirement.

but end as a security admin your role is same either on prem or cloud.

Once you understand the flows, everything will be ok and simple.

The cloud version is still the same boxes, so depending upon what part of managing them is difficult, it may not change.

You don't have to deal with upgrades or integration of the boxes but all of the policies, filters, tracking down why a particular message got through, etc. is all still there.
