Is there any place I can look at the raw format of an email in IronPort ESA.
I would like to investigate all possible email headers of an incoming email.
For example gmail has "Show original" under reply group button and has a detailed view of all email headers.
Any idea?
ESA is C170, Version: 8.5.6-092

Hello Ardiii,
I believe the 'Show Original' on gmail is within the MUA client itself where you have received the email (You can find similar options within your outlook when looking at the mail properties).
Should an email be within within the ESA (either in the delivery queue or in quarantines).
If in the quarantines, you can access the quarantines, locate the emails you wish to locate and it will show this same detail.
If it's within the ESA itself and you know the MID
The ESA has a command called 'showmessage' where you will put in the MID and it will display all the details of the email.
Note: If the email leaves the ESA (IE: delivered to your mail servers or other mail servers) you will not be able to view the message from the ESA, this would be the same as other mail gateways unless you have the email archived within the system.
Regards,
Matthew
