When will I receive the update

We have an ESA C370 running 9.7.1.066. The most current release on our device is 10.0.0 build 203. I have been holding off on upgrading until the latest release is pushed out. I think it is 10.0.1-087 or something like that.

How long does it take to get this upgrade? I check every day. No one at Cisco has been able to help me. What does it take to get this update?

Hi,

All physical and virtual ESA's should see the 10.0.0-203 upgrade available as it is a general deployment.

Could you let me know which bug you are referring to and I can confirm that for you?

Thanks!

Hi,

Async OS 10.0.1-087 is currently listed as a maintenance deployment and you can certainly open a TAC case to get provisioned for that release if there is a particular defect fixed on that release that you want to apply.

However, I would recommend holding off that release for now as there have been a few issues reported with slow processing on 10.0.1-087 which is being tracked by the development team. Once the fix for that becomes available the fixed release should become available. The internal defect filed currently does not have an ETA listed.

You can track all releases by reviewing the release notes page below

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/security/email-security-appliance/products-release-notes-list.html

The current available general deployment release is 10.0.0-203.

Thanks!

Thanks. How do I obtain 10.0.0-203? Do I just have to wait for it to be available? All I see on my ESA is 10.0.0. My concern is 10.0.0-203 contains a bug fix for 10.0.0 which is why I am holding off on that version.

Ok, I see what the problem is. I was reading it wrong. The 203 refers to the build number which I do have. I was looking for a version 0f 10.0-203 or something like that. So 10.0.0 build 203 is newer than 10.0.1? I wasn't talking about any specific bug. Do you have a link to the release notes for this specific version

Thanks

10.0.1 was released as a maintenance deployment earlier this year while 10.0.0-203 has been available since last year.

If you are already running 10.0.0-203, then I would recommend waiting for the next general deployment release.

Thanks!

I am running 9.7.1-066 right now. I want to upgrade to 10.0.0-203.

I can't find release notes for this version.  My biggest concern with these

upgrades is that it will break a current function.

It is always recommended to upgrade a test appliance to the required version before upgrading the production appliance, however, I understand this may not always be possible.
