Your "clustering" key will expire in under 15 day(s)

Hi,

we have received the following warning message from our Ironports (model C395) after aplying new licenses:

Your "clustering" key will expire in under 15 day(s).  Please contact your authorized Cisco sales representative.

Version: 14.0.3-015

Serial Number: XXXX-XXXX

Timestamp: 30 Dec 2022 20:42:45 +0100

Please advise as to what is this warning about. We don't see any clustering key under feature keys. And what will happen after it expires?

I have found this old post from 2014: https://community.cisco.com/t5/email-security/clustering-quot-key-will-expire-in-under-60-day-s/td-p/2508554

Is it possible that this issue is still present after all later AsyncOS upgrades?

Kind regards.

Thank you for responding.

We opened TAC case, this is the response:

Kindly note, the clustering feature does not require a license (called Centralized Management) after Async OS 8.5. The clusterconfig command is available by default.

No key is required anymore, so you can ignore the alerts.

Regarding the alerts, please note, we have an enhancement request to remove the clustering license alert, please feel free to subscribe to this defect, so that you can get notified once a fixed version is released.

Best regards.

I have not seen this message before, as long your features keys are up to date - that should be good.

have you upgraded recently to the new version code, and are you seeing this message?

worth also as a  side note to contact TAC.
