RTP Port forwarding

Hello all;

I need to forward RTP traffic to an internal IP address. It appears the port range will be 10,000 to 20,000, and I cannot set up a match protocol RTP

((config-cmap)#match protocol rtp

                                     ^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

)

How can I get this port range forwarded to my internal IP?  I have an asterisk based server on the internal network and I am experiencing one way audio issues as the server connects to the SIP account and is able to send audio but cannot establish an inbound connection for return audio.  I am using an 871 router.

Thanks!

Zach

Hi Zach,

You can forward the range in an access-list:

access-list acl_name permit udp any any range 10000 20000

Hope this helps!

Anu

Hi Zach,

Do you have SIP inspection enabled on the ASA?

Loren

Zach,

I hope you are doing great,

By any chance can you post the rotuer configuration, and also if you can provide a packet capture of the working and failling comunication that would be very helpful.

Luis Sandi
