cc-link ie in routed networks

As I understand it, CC-link IE networks are not routable (still hoping that someone proves me wrong). Does anyone have an idea, documents, URLs or live experience with large scale CC-link IE designs? I would like to integrate a CC-link IE environment into a IP-based environment and look for documentation that explains how this integration an be done. If someone has Wireshark traces of such an environment this would be helpful as well.
