2 managers + 2 analog lines(FXO) using h323/mgcp

Hi

I have a basic Question to make Double check

I have H323 gateway with E1 , and I have 2 managers with 2 analog lines , each manager has a certain Analog line .

in this scenario ,basen on my experience ,  i can configure MGCP at the same H323 gateway for analog lines (FXO), ??

in this scenario , which is better for these managers , use H323 or mgcp ???

how the configuration(incoming and outgoing) it will be in CUCM and gateway for each one in case h323 or mgcp???

if i choose H323

dial-peer voice 100 pots

description manager1 with analog line 56565689

destination-patt 9

port x1

dial-peer voice 101 pots

description manager1 with analog line 56567779

destination-patt 9

port x2

voice-port x1

connection plar 801

voice-port x2

connection plar 802

==============================

if i choose mgcp

1)Create new partition "manager1"

new CSS " CSS-Manager1" and assign partition "manager1 " on it

create new route pattern 9.0! for magaer1  with predot

and the same steps for manager 2

2) add mgcp commands on voice gateway

3)add 2912 gateway on CUCM and specify port 0/1

====================

Thanks

Use H323 as it is a lot more dependable. Also, if caller-id is presented and you want it enable it on the voice ports.

Hi Chris

first of all , thanks for your reply

how the configuration it will be if i used h323 with two fxo for two managers in incoming and outgoing in CUCM and gateway(Dial-peer) with example if you can ????(just to check i am doing yes or no)

thanks

Just to clarify you are planning on using each port on separate cluster correct?

If so, simply build H323 on both CUCM cluster pointing to the same router.

Then your voip dial-peers would point to respective CUCM servers, for example assume port x1 is to be used on cluster1 and port x2 cluster 2, then you voip dial-peers would be as following:

dial-peer voice 1 voip

destination-pattern 801

session target ipv4:

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

no vad

dial-peer voice 2 voip

destination-pattern 802

session target ipv4:

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

no vad

For outbound calls from cluster 1 vs. cluster 2 if separate ports are to be used I would recommend prefixing a digit on one of the CUCM servers to separate them and thus matching different pots dial peers.

HTH, please rate ll useful posts!

Hi Chris

I will clarify more  my question :

I have H323 Gateway , i want to  configure two Buttons  on one  phone , the first button for analog line (FXO) for outgoing and incoming at the same port   and another one is calling Internally , and this scenario i want to do it for 5 managers .

My Question is :

Manager's phone  : button1 : 22568987(analog line) ...> this is my Question >>> how ???

                                   button 2 : internal extention

If  i want to configure Button analog line  for certina manager to  call outside and incoming on the same port , how  the configuration it  will be in Call manager and h323 gateway dial-peer(pots,VOIP) ????? do have sample configuration or steps eactly regarding that ???

thanks Chris alot for your answering
