6941 Phones and Call recording

Anybody out there have 6941 phones deployed with call recording enabled?

According to the compatibility matrix, the phones are supposed to support Call Manger based BIB recording:

http://developer.cisco.com/web/sip/wikidocs;jsessionid=F75FD6FBFC219187810A2AD50077112D.liferay-portal1?p_p_id=54_INSTANCE_d68B&p_p_lifecycle=0&p_p_state=normal&p_p_mode=view&p_p_col_id=column-2&p_p_col_count=1&_54_INSTANCE_d68B_struts_action=/wiki_d...

What I am seeing though is on the line settings the recording options are not available:

Now to be clear, I am running 9.1.1 for the phone load which should be a newer load than 8.5.4 which is listed, but I wouldn't think that they would take a feature away in a newer load.

Hello Jason,

You did a good research, 69XX phones are compatible with Recording. You have to install a patch on Call Manager to enable the recording option for the 6921/6941/6961 phones. The patch is available on cisco.com. Please find the link below to download the patch:

http://tools.cisco.com/squish/37277

You have to restart the Call Manager after installing the patch. The patch name for firmware version 9.1(1) is called "cmterm-6921_6941_6961-qed.9-1-1-0.cop.sgn".

Here you have the Readme with instructions on how to install the patch (check for "The QED Load"):

I hope it helps,

German

To add to German comments, I've jus tconfigured a 6941 on my CUCM 8.0.3 and I see the recording option under the line configuration.

see attached.

Pierre.
