Hi,
I keep trying to find the truth.
In the Cisco admin guide for 78xx phone series, page 59 it says:"The lock connects to the antitheft security
connector on the back of the phone and the cable can be secured to a desktop"
But while I can clearly see it at the back of 79xx series and since I don't have any 78xx in hands, I look for picture on internet and on any of them I can really see a "hole" for the security cable.
Can anyone could confirm if those phone can be secured with a Kensington cable ??
Thanks
Luc

Hi luc.charpentier,
I found the info about the cable only in the 9900 and 8900 Series (check this link).
I take a picture of a 7821 back (attached file) and didn't find any "hole" for the security cable.
Hope this helps.

Hi Luc,
The security slot can accommodate a lock up to 20 mm wide. Compatible laptop cable locks include the Kensington laptop cable lock and laptop cable locks from other manufacturers that can fit into the security slot on the back of the phone.

Yes security slot can accommodate but looks like there is no security slot for 78xx series !
