Hi!
Has anyone had an issue in at least the 79/7841 phones where they are connected to PoE power, and you go to move them to another PoE port and will not power on, but if you connect them to a power brick they will power on; then if you move them back to a PoE port they will power on? Thanks!

Hi,
It could be because of the power configuration on the switch.
The 7941 is a Class 2 PoE device and also supports the Cisco Pre Standard PoE and the 7841 is a Class 1 PoE (IEEE 802.3 af) and consumes lesser energy to the predecessor
What switches you are connecting them to and does the switch itself has enough power to power all PoE devices connected to the ports?

Hi!
2960S and 2960X switches - within the PoE budget

I've seen this happening on 3850 switches and involving 7800 phones. What IOS are the 2960S/X running on?

v15.0(1)SE3
Huh? I know for a fact there is no "15.0(1)SE3" that will run on a 2960X.

Oops that was our 2960S, the 2960X is 15.0(2)EX5.

Downgrade to EX3 and see if you find some improvements.
