Ability to move CUCM 9 VM from one host to another

I have a client that is going to implement several CUCM servers. As the client is located several hours away, I am only on site 2 days a week. I want to copy off the CUCM Vm from their host and copy it onto my host in lab so that I can continue to configure it offsite. Then, copy the VM from my lab and move it back to the client server.

Are there any issues with doing this? What about the ELM? Will the VM being looking for the ELM when I load it on my lab server?

its not installed at all at the moment....client is still waiting for hardware and software to be delivered.  I am currently configuring the routers for their project.  WIll the ELM location make a difference to my question?  If it does, I can influence the installation location to support

Yes, ELM is installed along with CUCM and CUC, and can also be a standalone server.

That's the reason for the question.

Java - Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I understand that ELM can be installed as part of the app or as a standalone.

Let me restate my question more clearly.

When the client gets the hardware and software here, I will do the initial install of the ELM and CUCM 9 on site.  After the initial install and license upload, does CUCM reference/query the ELM during power up and normal configuration?  The answer to this question will have bearing on how I load ELM.  If CUCM continues to query the ELM, then I will need to load ELM along with CUCM so that when I copy off the VM and bring it to my office lab, I will have the ELM with me.  Otherwise, I have the option of loading ELM on a standalone server.
