We moved some of our equipment out of the office to a data center, and this included the voice router/gateway. Stupid me was thinking that because the T1 moved (and all DID numbers) that we were good to go - completely forgetting about the analog fax lines plugged into the FXO ports in the gateway. We have switches in both the data center and the office, so the question is, can lines coming out of the FXO be plugged into a switch port and routed through the network and into the station side port in the office? If not, do anyone have any other suggestions?

How are routing fax calls to/from your FXO cards? Are you using CUCM with MGCP/SCCP or using dial-peers to route fax calls?
What you can do is get spare router, connect the FXO card into it and keep it in the old site. Then you can have IP reachability to FXO. Based on this you can get fax calls working according to your current config.

Thank you for you response. We are using CUCM with MGCP, but we don't have a spare router. I have been searching to see if there is any kind of adapter, but I haven't found anything yet.

You can't do it without a router. FXO module can fit in routers only

I ended up ordering a SPA112 converter, so hopefully that will do the trick. In the meantime I forwarded the number to a fax to email service.
Thanks for your help!
