CPC Signal (Calling Party Control) is used to deny battery to tell the far end to hang up the call (aka Disconnect Supervision).
This is very useful for Paging systems and other Auto-Answer systems.
We are trying to use a Paging Group to include an FXS Port and the IP Phones paging Multicast) with CME (CallManager Express 8.6).
We cannot add the CiscoIOS based FXS Port to the paging group. Argh.
So we try an ATA-186-I1 (v 3.2(4))
However, this seems to offer Polarity Reversal, but not Battery Denial (CPC aka Calling Party Control) which is NOT compatible with the Bogen UTI1 we have purchased.
The Linksys PAP2T-NA does support CPC, but is it supported by CallManager Express?
Any help brining this to a solution would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Kris

Basically, with CME you cannot have pagin group made of phone and analog ports. Not even if using an ATA.
This has beend discussed extensively, e.g. in the UC500 forum.
You can derive signal for the PA from a phone speaker.

Solution for a Single Paging group seems to be to use a Valcom VIP-801 which can listen to the Multicast Paging.
