I have implemented a work around for paging over the phones. Basically, in strategic locations I have set up phones with a new DN set to auto answer.
It has been brought to my attention that people are abusing this and using it to evesdrop. Is there a way to set up the auto anser extesnion to auto answer on mute? 4.1.3

I don't believe there is a way to actually mute the phone but you can increase the timeout value so the speaker phone takes longer to go off hook in either enterprise or service parameters.

AFAIK it cannot be done, the mute enable/disable is not configurable from CCM, but from the phone itself (you need to press the button)
