Best practice of Unity Connection Vlan

Hi,

When clustering Unity Connection over the WAN, what are the best practices as far as vlans are concerned?  Can each server (in it's own data center) be in a separate vlan?  Or should it be the same vlan in both data centers?

Also, what is recommended as far as Unity Connection vlan placement is concerned when  deploying Unified Messaging?  Should Unity Connection be placed in the same vlan as CUCM or in the Exchange Vlan?

Thanks

James

Hi mate,

Unity Connection cluster servers can be in any VLANs until all network connectivity requirements are met (round trip delay, bandwidths etc). You can find more information here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/requirements/8xcucsysreqs.html#wp360300

Cheers,

Boris
