BLF does not lit up on 7915

Hi!

We have configured BLF SDs on a 7962 having two 7915s (12 button model). For some reason the BLF lamps does not lit on the 7915.

The CUCM version is 7.1.3. The phone load is SCCP42.9-0-3S and the firmware on the 7915 os B015-01-0-4. The 7915 works otherwise as they should, just the lamps not being lit when a DN is busy. Any clues?

Hello Ana,

               Could you please clarify on the following points so that we get a clear picture.

1.  could you please check what is the status of the following Enterprise Parameter BLF Call List - Enable (by default this parameter is set to disable)

2. Could you please check the web-page of the phone & let me know what is the phone load info, i am asking you to check this to ensure that we have the correct load on the phone.

3. Pleaes refer the following doc for further clarification.

Cisco Unified IP Phone 7915 Expansion Module

The Cisco Unified IP Phone 7915 Expansion Module supports the following  Cisco Unified IP Phones that run SCCP and SIP: 7962G, 7965G, and 7975G.  Phones that run SCCP must run Cisco Firmware Release 8.3(5) or a later  release. Phones that run SIP must run Cisco Firmware Release 8.4(1) or a  later release.

Table 56 provides Cisco Unified IP Phone 7915 Expansion Module compatibility  information for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 4.x through  Release 8.x.

Hi Amit!

The Ent Parm settings BLF Call List is already set to enabled.

The firmware that the phone is using is sccp42.9-0-35 and the firmware for the 7915 is B015-1-0-4. I can see in your table that at least the 7915 firmware is compatible with the CUCM version we are running 7.1.3.

Else, I see nothing wrong, but still no Busy Lamp lighting up......

Check if you have correct SUBSCRIBE Calling Search Space on the phone wher you enable BLF

This issue occurred with me as well, CUCM 11.x and the 7915 24 button expansion module

under phone settings, Protocol Specific Information --> SUBSCRIBE Calling Search Space should be a valid one.
