Hi there,
I have devised a BOQ based on CUCM 8.5 with MCS server; and for using 5 CCX user I have added additional MCS server and appliance entitlement for CCX server. Below is the BOQ.
Server software:
Product | Description | Quantity |
CUCM-USR-LIC | Top Level Sku For User License | 1 |
LIC-CUCM-USR-A | Unified Communications Manager Enhanced Single User-Under 1K | 50 |
UCM-7816-85 | Unified Communications Manager 8.5 Server Software | 1 |
CCX-85-CMBUNDLE-K9 | CCX 8.5 5 Seat CCX ENH CM Bundle - AVAILABLE ONLY FOR NEW CM | 1 |
CUCM-PAK | Include PAK Auto-expanding PAK for CUCM | 1 |
CUCM-USR | Include PAK Auto-expanding User for CUCM | 300 |
UCM-7816-85-KIT | CUCM 8.5 Media Kit | 1 |
UCM-7816-NODE | CUCM 7816 Node | 1 |
Server for CUCM:
MCS7816I5-K9-CMD2 | Unified CM 8.5 7816-I5 Appliance, 0 Seats | 1 |
Server for CCX
MCS7816I5-K9-CXA1 | CCX 8.5 7816-I5 Appliance 1x X3430 CPU, 4GB RAM, 1x250 HDD |
Appliance Entitlement for CCX server
L-CCX-85-CMBLDLIC= | CCX 8.5 CCX CM Bundle Appliance Entitlement, PAK eDelivery |
And 5 IP communicator license
IPCOMM86-LIC | Cisco IP Communicator 8.6 license |
I would like to know if I have not missed out anything in the above and BOQ is correct, this is basically a small requirement for call center where they only require to use 5 enhanced users.
I have also heard that CISCO is now supporting more UCS server instead of MCS. Need advice on how to Map above requirement on UCS. Please recommend. I think it will save one MCS server if we got with UCS route.
Best regards,
Faisal Qadri

Yes you can use UCS. For this size install you could use a C200M2 chassis:
